River trip of Tsiribihina + kirindy forest + avenue of baobab + Morondava

Day 1: Welcome at the international airport of Ivato (Tananarive), then transfer to your hotel

Day 2: Tananarive- Antsirabe (170km for 4 hours)
We meet next morning at the hotel then drive on the RN7 to Antsirabe situated 170km south of Tananarive following the highland scenery, passing Ambatolampy, visiting an aluminum foundry (renowned for its cooking pots). Continuing on to Antsirabe: home of Madagascar beer, thermal baths and of rick shaws (pousse-pousse).We arrive late in the afternoon at your hotel, then profit from an afternoon visit to some workshops such as : lapidary (precious or semi-precious stone) and zebu horn souvenirs.

Day 3: We head off the next morning to Miandrivazo via a visit to lakes. Miandrivazo is the starting point of the river descent of Tsiribihina. Overnight in the hotel

Day 4 - 5: River trip. Beginning of our first day river descent: Watching people in their daily life, aquatic birds, different landscape, natural swimming pool (water fall), meeting with the local people, crocodiles (if you are lucky), lemurs, chameleons...
Full board during the river descent and 2 nights camping around the fire on the banks of the river make this a very rewarding trip.

Day 6: Half day paddling. We finish our adventure in the afternoon with a trek for about an hour, and then stay in the afternoon in small village for a night.

Day 7: After breakfast, drive with 4x4 to continuous the road to Morondava in passing forest of kirindy and then visit nocturnal.

Day 8: Early in the morning, visit half day in the park to exploring different kinds of lemurs, many species of birds and fossa (Carnivore and predator of lemur. Kirindy is about 50km northeast of town of Morondava, is a privately managed forest by a Swiss company. This reserve is dry deciduous forest, dominated by majestic baobab trees and forest canopy of even 4m altitude. There are giant jumping rat and best place to observe fossas . Also the home to seven species of lemurs that watching most common brown lemurs, verreaux’s sifaka.and best place to visit nocturnal like: coquerel’ giant mouse lemur, pygmy mouse-lemur, fork-crowned lemur and gray mouse lemur, western fat-tailed dwarf lemur and red tailed and best place for watching birds and then in the afternoon drive to Morondava in passing baobab sacred, baobab lover and alley of baobab in sunset.
Overnight in Morondava.

Day 9: Transfer at the airport of Morondava for another destination or fly from Morondava to Tuléar or Morondava via Tananarive and then drive back to Tananarive with stops as required on route. We can make a half way detour to Manakara by taking the train.
