ANTANANARIVO VIEWS

You will be welcomed at the international airport in Antananarivo Ivato, then a guide transfer you to your hotel and where you will enjoy a briefing of what to expect. Antananarivo is the Malagasy capital stands about 1300m above the sea level and is the center of the Merina tribe. The city is set in a basin surrounded by 12 holy holy. In the capital, there are many things to do such as shopping at the market of artisanal, visiting the botanical garden, cultural center, Queen´s Palace, Lemurs Park and croc farm close the airport. It is a bustling place with activity on every comer.

 AMBOHIMANGA (blue hill)

Way 21 km northeast of Tananarive capital is Madagascar's first dual carriageway. Ambohimanga (blue hill), this recently named world Heritage site is highly recommended as an easy day trip. It has seven gates, sacrificial stone and this place is a queen´s and king´s palace. The house is made of wood for the great king Andrianampohinimerina who reigned from 1787 to 1810. It is an ideal place for picnic.

 LEMURS PARK

This reserve is special for lemurs and includes a botanic garden with flora from the south of Madagascar. It about 22km south west of capital and makes a good day trip for those on a quick visit, watching different lemurs and then the way to Ampefy.

 PARK ZOO AND BOTANICAL GARDEN

This park has an extensive collection of animals like aye-aye, lemurs, fauna and flora. The botanical area provides a sanctuary for numerous birds-lemurs, different plants, museum of ethnology and paleontology. This is an excellent museum for gaining an understanding of Madagascar´s prehistoric naturally history as well as the traditions and way of life of its inhabitants. The museum contains skeletons of animals and includes several species of grant lemur and famous elephant birds. The museum also contains handicrafts of the different ethnics groups.
